I’m sure that the blog EXTENSION is the right way. Wordpress may be great for its purposes, but fully integrated blog as part of the Magento install itself probably the best solution for Magento, making it possible to customize and to use data from Magento.

Hi, great article, i'm finishing a magento store now and have used several of the plugins. I offer free blogs but found the extension good to integrate the blog within the site.
